Duke of Marmalade ready to take on challengers at King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes!
Duke Of Marmalade is ready and raring to face nine rivals as he attempts to run at 1½ miles for the very first time in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes on Saturday at Ascot Race Track.
The summer showpiece at Ascot Race Track has attracted 10 entries, with four of those representing the all-conquering Aidan O'Brien stable.
Ballydoyle will be represented by Duke of Marmalade, Mount Nelson , Macarthur and Red Rock Canyon .
"We've left Mount Nelson in but I'd say he's unlikely to run. It looks like being Duke of Marmalade, with the other two being possibles," O'Brien said of his wards' possibilities of seeing action in the King George VI.
Ask and Papal Bull are set to represent Michael Stoute while Youmzain, runner-up to Dylan Thomas last year, is back for another crack at the Ascot Race Track marquee event.
The Godolphin machine will be represented at Ascot Race Track by Literator, winner of the Champion Stakes last year.
Yummy Mummy of Plantation Stud is expected to produce a credible performance, as does Zamiyla of John Oxx.
