Carlisle Race Track: The Very Best of Jump and Flat Racing!
Carlisle Race Track is a thoroughbred horse race track located in Carlisle, Cumbria, England. Carlisle Race Track can be found on the outskirts of the historic border city of Carlisle and is set in open countryside.
Carlisle Race Track typically holds Jump meetings from October to April while Flat racing is usually held between May and September. Carlisle Race Track racing is held 10 months in a year.
Carlisle Race Track Flat racing is held in a right-handed, 1½ mile pear-shared track that is galloping. Horses that have drawn high numbers usually have advantages when races are run up to a mile.
Meanwhile, the Jump racing is held in a right-handed undulating 1 mile and 5 furlong track that's stiff and galloping. Well-known with trainers for its tough uphill finish, Carlisle Race Track can represent an excellent test of a horse. Many of the Northern trainers also consider the fences to be the most inviting and fair in the Country.
Carlisle Race Track has two enclosures:
- Grandstand & Paddock
- Premier
The Grandstand & Paddock enclosure of Carlisle Race Track allows the public access to all ground floor public areas including the Bell Hall of the Jubilee Grandstand with its extensive bars and fast food outlets, Paddock Bar, Pre-Parade and Parade Rings.
Admission to Carlisle Race Track's Premier enclosure, meanwhile, gives the public access to the First Floor and Upper Terrraces of the Jubilee Grandstand, the Patterson Bar, and the Swifts Restaurant.
