Catterick Race Track Description

The flat track at Catterick Race Track is 1 mile and 1 furlong in length. It is run left-handed, has tight bends and undulations. Horses that have drawn low numbers have an advantage on races up to 7 furlongs.

Meanwhile, the National Hunt track at Catterick Race track is a wider and slightly longer circuit at 1 mile and 3 furlongs. It has eight notoriously easy fences. The track also has an extension which is used for flat sprint races and contains a ninth fence for some National Hunt races.

The jump track at Catterick Race Track is not quite as sharp as the flat or hunt tracks but the fences are placed relatively close together and like the other tracks it is best suited to handy horses.
