Hypnosis captured the featured Yorkshire Racing Festival Handicap at Catterick Race Track. Hypnosis won the Catterick Race Track featured by a length and a neck.
Under the direction of jockey Tony Hamilton, Hypnosis came on top of the pack about 1½ furlong out and tenaciously held on to the lead and repelled stiff challenges from Nomoreblondes and the favourite Princess Ellis.
Needless to say, Hypnosis' trainer David Barker and owner Robert Snowden were very happy with how their ward performed at Catterick Race Track.
"I am the only one to able to get her into the stalls, but unfortunately I am not designed to get out of the front quickly!" Barker said.
"I am very pleased for her owner, Robert was very patient when she was banned for six months for having had too many stall tests and I am pleased for her as she is very speedy and it is the first time this year she has had decent ground." added the happy trainer.
The race was blemished by a tragic incident early on when Deserted Dane launched himself at the front of the stalls and hit his head on one of the steel bars, killing him almost instantaneously. His jockey Tom Eaves was unscathed.
