Let It Be captured the Swale Handicap on Wednesday, 27 August 2008 , at Catterick Race track.
Bearing odds of 5-1, Let It Be confidently strutted at Catterick Race track with jockey Campbell Gillies on the mount. Her Swale Handicap triumph was not cast in much doubt as Gillies drove Let It Be toward a 1¾ length victory over Mr Crystal.
It was a first ever winner on the level for Gillies, who was fresh from riding a double at Cartmel Race track on Bank Holiday Monday.
"She just keeps on surprising us," said owner Sandy Frame.
"She loves it here, that's the fourth time she has won here now from just seven runs and she was second once too.
"She's not in foal, Keith (Reveley, trainer) thought she might have been in season today though, but I'd be looking at getting her into foal maybe now."
Seven-year-old mare Let It Be has recently posted wins at Redcar Race track, Carlisle Race track and Beverley Race track.
