Folkestone Race Track Description
Folkestone Race Track has a right-handed, undulating 1¼ mile oval with a 3-furlong run-in for Flat races. Folkestone Race Track favours front-runners - gallopers find it hard to get into top gear. A high draw is often an advantage in sprints.
For the National Hunt races, Folkestone Race Track offers a right-handed, undulating oval of 1 mile and 2 furlongs. The steeplechase course consists of seven fences to a circuit without water jump, and an open ditch. On hurdles, a five furlong run between the final two flights is favourable for former flat horses with a turn of foot.
Folkestone Race Track History

- The site of Folkestone Race Track was served as the location of the headquarters of Queen Elizabeth I's Kent army.
