• Goodwood Race Track has a rather unusual, complex track with a straight six furlongs - the so-called "Stewards' Cup Track" - which is uphill for the first furlong and mostly downhill thereafter.

• There is a tight right-handed loop at the far end of the straight on which there are starts for various longer distance tracks. These include the 1 mile, 2 furlong "Craven Track"; the 1 mile, 4 furlong "Gratwicke Track"; and the 1 mile, 6 furlong "Bentinck Track".
