Nottingham Race Track: Bringing a Memorable Horse Racing Experience!
 Nottingham Race Track is a century-old horse racing facility in Colwick Park, Nottingham, two miles from the city centre. Located in the 280-acre park, Nottingham Race Track has been hosting Jump racing for much of its existence, hosting Flat racing only for the first time in 1996.
Easily accessible by road, rail and air, Nottingham Race Track typically offers about 20 days of horse racing from March/April through to November.
Nottingham Race Track has become increasingly popular over the last several years and the significant improvements to its facilities are a testament to such rising popularity.
Among the more notable historic moments at Nottingham Race Track include Lester Piggott's (first) retirement on 29 October 1985, as well as wins by the Triple Crown heroine Oh So Sharp and Derby winner Slip Anchor.
Nottingham Race Track Features
Nottingham Race Track has a left-handed, galloping, flat oval of 1½ miles with easy turns. There is a run-in of 4½ furlongs. The advantage of the draw at Nottingham Race Track is dependent on the position of the stalls. Nottingham Race Track also offers an alternative 5 furlong course on the old hurdle track.
The Centenary Stand, along with the newly-refurbished Grandstand, are the defining landmarks of Nottingham Race Track. The Centenary Stand offers sweeping views of the entire race track, the parade ring and the winner's enclosure.
Nottingham Race Track has two Enclosures: the Members Enclosure and the Grandstand Enclosure. The Members Enclosure at Nottingham Race Track includes access to the Centenary Stand, the Members Lawn and the Roof Top Restaurant. The Grandstand Enclosure is the bigger of the two enclosures at Nottingham Race Track and is the "nerve centre" of the betting ring. This enclosure offers access to all ground areas, parade ring, the winner's enclosure and the children's playground. It also offers access to several unique and excellent bars.
